34 participants from all 14 sub-grant projects joined together at the Kick-Off Meeting at Shizenkan Graduate School (Nihonbashi, Tokyo), together with over 50 key stakeholders including policy makers, investors, media, etc.. who have formed the YUI MIRAI Community Support Base. |

The MIRAI RITA Foundation, in collaboration with Fondation CHANEL, a global supporter of women and girls' empowerment, launched the YUI MIRAI Project in January 2024. During the Kick-Off meeting, sub-grant partners came together to share their work and get to know each other. A MIRAI Workshop was held to envision a future in Japan where gender equality has advanced.
Below, a graphic recording of the MIRAI Workshop that illustrates the goal of the YUI MIRAI Project, incorporating feedback from the 14 sub-grant partners. Through collaboration with multistakeholders, it aims to create an eco-system that fosters collective impact and promotes gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls. |
The YUI MIRAI Project focuses on creating "collective impact" by collaborating with various stakeholders, such as organizations promoting gender equality, companies, governments, media, and experts. The goal is to establish an ecosystem that will drive progress in gender equality.
During the kick-off meeting and the following social event, we received enthusiastic support from experts across different fields, setting a positive tone and generating momentum for the project. |

Hokuriku Mirai Foundation supports the Noto Earthquake Relief Activities |
Following the devastating earthquake that hit the Hokuriku region on January 1st, 2024, the Hokuriku Mirai Foundation, one of the YUI MIRAI Project sub-grant partners, immediately mobilized to provide assistance to the affected area. Despite some of its members being personally impacted by the disaster, the foundation dedicated its resources to support the recovery efforts. |
They took time out of their relief efforts to attend the kick-off meeting and shared the challenging conditions they encountered on the ground. After discussing with the Kesennuma Tsubaki-kai who experienced the Great East Earthquake, as well as other participants, they returned to Ishikawa with a renewed commitment to assist the affected areas.
